An agnatic family tree, also called a patrilineal tree, represents the male line of a person (the de cujus).
It is an ascending lineage that only takes into account men.
Only the wives (and mothers) of the men of the line appear in the tree as an indication.
The agnatic family trees designed by WFTB start from the de cujus and go back, with each generation, from the son to the father.
The agnatic ascending family tree is also called a patronymic tree when the surname is transmitted continuously from father to son in the lineage.
